BONE CAMP: Advanced Movement Concepts for Skeletal Health
Upon completion of this course, participants will:
- Have increased knowledge of Osteoporosis and Osteopenia, first signs and risk factors for these conditions, know how to identify people who may be at risk in their own clinic and/or class, and be able to make referrals to health professionals as necessary and indicated by specific client condition.
Through practicing and also teaching the movements:
- Have an increased understanding of The Core and how to strengthen The Core in ways that are safe for bone health,
- Understand the relationship between hip flexibility and spinal alignment.
- Know how to perform SAFE spinal rotation, working actively from the muscles of the spine, in positions from least to most spinal compression.
